Project definition, funding requests, and data distribution by NJ Office of Information Technology, Office of Geographic Information Systems (NJOIT - OGIS). Funding for the imagery project provided by: -NJ Office of Information Technology (NJOIT) -NJ Department of Transportation (NJDOT) -Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) -NJ TRANSIT -National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) -Mercer County -NJ Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMAVA). Imagery project administration support provided by NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). Contract and procurement by U.S. Geological Survey. Principal operating contractor was Quantum Spatial, Inc. Quality Assurance by Woolpert, Inc, under contract to U.S.G.S. Processing for the WMTS was done by NJOIT - OGIS. |

<div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div><p><span>Digital orthophotography of New Jersey, distributed as an ArcGIS REST cached tile service and as a Tiled Web Map Service (WMTS). These services display the three natural color bands from the 4-band project. </span></p><p><span>The native data set spatial reference system is EPSG::6527 NAD83(2011) NJ State Plane coordinates, US Survey feet (Transverse Mercator projection). The cache processing has produced continuous tiles in EPSG::3424 NAD83 NJ State Plane coordinates, US Survey feet. </span></p><p><span>Multi-spectral digital orthophotography was produced at a nominal scale of 1:2400 (1" = 200') with a 1 foot pixel resolution for the entire state, totaling approximately 8,162 square miles. </span></p><p><span>Digital orthophotography combines the image characteristics of a photograph with the geometric qualities of a map. Each digitized perspective aerial photograph is rectified for camera lens distortion, vertical displacement caused by terrain relief, and variations in aircraft altitude and orientation.</span></p></div></div></div> |
