Description: Spatial layer of Inlets along New Jersey coasts was created by Craig Coutros of NJDEP from 2007 Land Use/ Land Cover data derived from 2007 - 2008 statewide orthophotography. This layer was supplied at the request of NJDOT GIS for display of inlet names in the public Maritime application. Features from the 2007 LULC were attributed for National Hydrography Dataset (NHD). In March 2012, they were extracted by query, and dissolved. In February 2013 a spatial join was performed to add attributes. Further editing was performed to create the final layer. Users who need further information about fitness for use should contact NJDEP Bureau of GIS
